Free Courses in hairdressing? Sounds unreal!! How? Where? Well... here is the answer to your questions. Unique International College is now delivering Certificate II in hairdressing, Certificate III in hairdressing & Certificate IV in hairdressing to “ELIGIBLE” local Australian citizens or permanent resident students, absolutely free of cost under the Productivity Places Program. This is an Australian Government initiative (www.productivityplaces.deewr.gov.au). In order to meet the current skills shortages in the employment market, the Federal Government has contracted Registered Training Organisations to offer eligible jobseekers FREE training places in nationally recognised vocational courses. This program is available to students who are aged 15 years and over, who are not currently working but are intending to seek paid employment. These Hairdressing courses are part of this program and if you are eligible, the course will be funded.
To
check if you are eligible, here are a few questions. If you answer “yes”
to these questions then you may be eligible for a place in this free
course.

your answer is “yes” to all questions then

forms
and information pack by post or email.
You
will need to complete all forms and attach all the required documents
and send
to
us by post: PO BOX 574, GRANVILLE, NSW 2142. You can also
choose to drop these forms at our
Campus by visiting us on: Level
1, 60
South Street, Granville NSW 2142. You will also need to have an
interview with
a staff
member
to enable us to assess your LL&N (Language,
Literacy and Numeracy) skills required for the course.
We
will process your application and submit to DEEWR (Department of
Education,
Employment and
Workplace
Relations) for approval. DEEWR
will advise us of approval or rejection and we will inform you
accordingly.
If
your answer is “NO” to any of the above question then you are not
eligible for this free training course at this stage.
Don't be disappointed
because you may try again in
future if your circumstances change. Keep enquiring every three or four
weeks because the eligibility requirements could be changed by the
government.
However if you do not want to wait or your circumstances are not going
to change in the near future, then you may decide to do our courses
through Centrelink benefits instead of going through
the
Productivity
Places
Program. If you are interested in pursuing a career in
the hairdressing
industry without going through many years
of a lengthy
apprenticeship, then you may wish to
complete a Certificate II or
Certificate
III in Hairdressing with us on Centrelink benefits.
You may be
entitled to get AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY etc. All of our courses (including
Certificate II and Certificate III in
Hairdressing) are Centrelink
approved. Certificate III in
Hairdressing is a trade level qualification
and upon successful completion of this course you become a fully
qualified hairdresser.
This course is delivered in 52 weeks.
You will have 38
weeks of study and 14 weeks of holidays.
The course is delivered in four
terms; the first three terms normally have 10 weeks of study
followed by 4 weeks of
holiday. The
last term normally has 8 weeks of
study and 2 weeks of holidays for any catch up study. Classes are three
days per week. Why don’t you join us to have a direct entry into
Certificate III in
Hairdressing, its only three days a week and is
delivered in just one year. There are no formal pre requisites for this
course other than
a willingness to learn. Plus, you could be getting full
time study benefits from Centrelink and working part time whilst
studying to become a fully qualified hairdresser. Payment plans are available for self funding students. Please email us on
